Tumbler
This exquisite piece is a quintessential representation of Kazuki's "Kasaneirome" (Layered Colours) technique, where he transforms the surface of a vessel into a vibrant, three-dimensional landscape. To achieve this effect, Kitagawa pours multiple layers of differently pigmented porcelain into a mould, then finishes with a clean white exterior layer.
Once the clay reaches a leather-hard state, he uses a precision carving tool to slice through the outer white shell, revealing the "hidden spectrum of colours" beneath in a rhythmic, rain-like pattern. The resulting contrast between the smooth, minimalist form and the rhythmic, jewel-toned incisions perfectly captures his brand's mission to merge the precision of industrial design with the tactile, revelatory beauty of handmade ceramic art.
