Postcard - Cat and Owl "A Gift of Smiles for You"
“A gift of smiles for you.” That is the message brushed onto this postcard from Craftman House, in Japanese: anata ni egao no purezento. Above it, a round-eyed owl keeps watch from a flowering branch, while below, a calico cat with a little bell looks up with a contented smile. Simple illustrations and warm words, made in the hope of bringing a moment of ease to whoever receives it.
Features
Loose ink lines and soft watercolour washes give the card a relaxed, hand-painted feel, with plenty of open space around the lettering. The back is left free for your own message.
