"Laughter Brings Good Fortune" Sheep with Folding Screen, Small
2027 is the Year of the Sheep, and Ryukodo welcomes it with a sheep caught mid-laugh. Its name comes from the Japanese saying warau kado ni wa fuku kitaru: good fortune comes to the house where people laugh. Set it out with its little folding screen for the New Year, and let it do just that.
Features
The sheep is covered in chirimen, the softly crinkled crepe long used for Japanese ornaments, here made from rayon crepe. The small folding screen stands behind it like a miniature New Year display.
Each piece is finished by hand, so the texture varies slightly from one to the next.
