Postcard - Sky & Sea, Seagull
A seagull, from a series of washi cards that look up to the sky and down to the sea.
The shapes are simple and bold, cut from bright washi and laid onto a soft, fibrous card. It makes a cheerful note for a child, an angler, or anyone who misses the coast.
Features
The design is pieced together in coloured washi set on a base of Echizen washi, from one of Japan's long-established papermaking regions.
Behind the brand is Uemura Paper, which has supplied Kyoto with paper since 1912. Its stationery line, launched in 2016, pieces together washi from several regions of Japan by hand.
