"Laughing Out Loud" Holding a Daruma, Small
Small enough to sit in the palm of your hand, this sheep greets 2027 with a big laugh and a daruma held close. In Japan a daruma is a keeper of wishes, set out at the start of the year, so the two together make a cheerful New Year companion for a desk, a shelf or an entryway.
Features
Like Ryukodo's other zodiac figures, it is covered in chirimen, the softly crinkled crepe used for Japanese ornaments, here made from rayon crepe.
Each one is finished by hand, so the expression and texture vary slightly from piece to piece.
