DUO Tokkuri
Description
Blue, golden yellow and warm amber gather within the glass, their overlapping layers creating the curious impression of liquid already inside. The colours seem to float at different depths, becoming more vivid as daylight passes through the vessel.
Designed for serving sake, the Tokkuri brings a playful touch to the table. Paired with DUO Choko cups in matching or contrasting colours, it makes pouring and sharing a drink feel a little more special.
Features
A tokkuri is a traditional Japanese vessel used for serving sake. The DUO Tokkuri can be paired with two DUO Choko cups to create a sake set. Different colours can be combined, allowing each set to have its own character.
DUO takes its name from the two overlapping layers of glass that give the collection its distinctive depth of colour. Each piece is handcrafted, with delicate gradations created through the careful layering of coloured glass. The effect is particularly expressive in the Tokkuri, where the colours extend across its taller form.
First introduced in 1996, DUO has remained one of Sghr Sugahara's long-standing best-selling collections. Its simple silhouette allows the unusual relationship between colour, transparency and light to remain the focus.
