Poster - Traditional Print, Kabuki Actor Otani Oniji III
The kabuki actor Ōtani Oniji III in his famous role as Edobei, a familiar face from Edo-period ukiyo-e reimagined as washi collage. Bold fields of colour replace the woodblock's fine lines, giving the old print a playful, graphic edge.
Frame it for a hallway or a reading corner, where it brings a little theatre to the wall.
Features
The design belongs to the brand's ukiyo-e series, which reinterprets well-known prints through harie, the art of building a picture from pasted paper.
