Postcard - Cat Daruma "May Good Fortune Stay Close to You"
“May good fortune stay close by your side.” That is the wish brushed onto this postcard from Craftman House, in Japanese: fuku ga anata ni yoriyori soi. Below it, two cats dressed as daruma, one red and one pale pink, sit snugly side by side, each marked with fuku, the character for good fortune, while plum blossoms drift across the card. A warm New Year greeting, or a small token of luck for someone starting something new.
Features
Bold ink outlines and soft washes of red, pink and gold give the card a cheerful, hand-painted feel. Like the rest of Craftman House’s illustrated postcards, it pairs simple drawings with warm words, and leaves the back free for your own message.
