Postcard - Cat, Calico

A calico cat, shaped from washi in a few confident pieces. Cat people will know at once whether this one is theirs.

Closer to a small artwork than a printed postcard, it is made for tucking into a birthday parcel or propping on a desk.

Features

The coat is cut from washi chosen for its colour and fibre, and pasted on by hand. The brand works with papers from six regions of Japan, including Mino, Echizen and Awa.

Kyoto Karasuma Rokushichido belongs to Uemura Paper, which began in Kyoto in 1912 as a supplier of the paper used to wrap kimono.
