Handmade Wood Bird – Black-throated Bushtit
A black-throated bushtit, hand-carved from wood and small enough to rest on a shelf, windowsill, or beside a favourite book. Visible carving marks and simple painted details give it its own slightly imperfect expression and character.
Place it in a quiet corner and it becomes a small presence you begin to notice throughout the day. Pair it with other TALKLEK birds, and a cheerful little flock slowly takes shape.
Features
Each bird is individually shaped from wood, with traces of the carving intentionally left visible. The uneven facets and subtle differences in form give the birds a warmth that would disappear if every surface were made perfectly smooth.
Rather than reproducing each species realistically, TALKLEK pares them down to their most recognisable features. A patch of colour, the angle of a tail or a simple painted marking is often enough to give each bird its distinct personality.
